The open bottom means no water build-up at the bottom; roots can also directly touch the soil for better growth. Home gardening, done different.

Sturdy and good value. We are using it in garden to eliminate the steps and up and down the patio. Not sure how it will fair in rain etc but should be easily recovered in fake grass.
